Police employees can do things that the rest of us would go to prison for.

That's why police encounters can be violent and abusive.

With any police encounter; imagine everything the police say and do to a civilian was being said and done by a civilian to the police.

Which one gets arrested?

If the police knew they may have to explain their actions to a jury rather than act on a default assumption that they have special powers that'll never be questioned...

we'd have a far safer world.
